Thanksgiving Dinner on a Budget

Last year for Thanksgiving, I was able to provide an entire Thanksgiving meal for 5 people on just $25. That's my plan again for this year too and I'm right on track!

Cheap Bread!

This past week I shopped with coupons at a few new places - Oroweat Bakery Outlet, Dollar Store & Winco. (OK it's not the first time I've shopped at Winco with coupons, but I haven't done it in a while.)

Tuesday I stopped at the Oroweat Bakery Outlet in East Bremerton. It was my first time in the store so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. HOLY CHEAP BREAD BATMAN! It was the good bread. Not the store brand-dyed brown-to look like wheat bread type bread. This is definitely where I will be purchasing by bread and bagels from now on. I paid $5 for 3 loaves of bread and 2 packages of bagels.

It got better. Spending Spree was offering a deal that you could purchase a $10 voucher for only $5!  SCORE! You better believe I bought the max number of vouchers. From reading the website and looking at past deals, it looks like this is a frequent deal offered. Keep your eye out for it!

With doublers at Albertsons this week I was able to rack up enough points to earn the rest of my $5 off rewards coupon. With the help of coupons I was able to pickup 6 ears of corn, a head of lettuce, 6 bagels and a pint of blueberries for only $0.54, a 98% savings!

It's been a while since I have had a good coupon run. I paid $4.99 for everything you see here including the 6 bagels that are not in the picture. That's a 91% savings.

When you purchase 4 Quaker items (some exclusions apply) you receive a $2 catalina + a catalina for FREE milk to use on your next purchase. Combine that deal with come coupons and it makes the Quaker cereal an even better deal!

I had a few more Twice the Value coupons from Albertsons to use and thanks to a tip from Fabulessly Frugal I knew exactly what to get!

Between this week's Bountiful Basket haul and Albertsons Twice the Value coupons we are going to be eating lots of Mexican themed meals this week!

With the help of Twice the Value coupons at Albertsons this weekend I was able to get everything you see here for $6.53. Plus I still have $2 to use on my next shopping trip!



I think we are good to go on drinks.....at least for a little while anyways! With Albertson's deal on Powerade and Fuze combined with a few other great coupons I had from last week, made for a GREAT trip this morning. Everything you see here was purchased for $5.03.
