Food

I like to think that I'm a good cook. I still have a lot to learn, but I think there has only been one or two times since I have been married that I made something that wasn't edible - both of which were because I was trying to take short cuts. I go through phases and bake/cook up a storm for months and then it's take out, boxed meals and Subway. Now that we are trying to save up to buy a house I have a little more motivation to make more meals at home. In fact I have found a few websites that help with the food preparation.

eMeals is a great thing. For just $1 a week you get a meal plan with a shopping list that allows me to make 6 dinners at home for around $50. I just print out the list and to the store I go. If you haven't heard of them you need to check them out. They have recently started doing a lunch plan as well - I still need to look at that one for myself!

Pinterest. Oh good 'ol Pinterest. Thanks to Pinterest, I have discovered a lot of wonderful recipes. Some worked out great and others not so much. The best part is if you have an ingredient that you've run out of ideas for type it in the search and viola an over abundance of recipes are at your finger tips.
