Why White Chocolate is More Tempting than a Cinnabon

I'm not one to discriminate against chocolate. Chocolate is a cure for many things, especially if you have a sweet tooth. I wanted something sweet, something salty and something a little bit sour. I remembered a recipe I saw on Pinterest that used white chocolate, pistachios and strawberries. PERFECT!

Homemade Laundry Soap

Last winter I was inspired by a friend to make my own laundry soap. The first batch I made, was in liquid form. While it was great to use, it was horrible to make. The second time I made it I opted to try the powdered form. 

Valentine's Day Treat

I was looking for something different and simple to make for Valentine's Day. I found a recipe on Pinterest from Bakerella and adapted it to use with Velata chocolate. They were a hit at work and I will definitely be making these again!

Cheap Bread!

This past week I shopped with coupons at a few new places - Oroweat Bakery Outlet, Dollar Store & Winco. (OK it's not the first time I've shopped at Winco with coupons, but I haven't done it in a while.)

Tuesday I stopped at the Oroweat Bakery Outlet in East Bremerton. It was my first time in the store so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. HOLY CHEAP BREAD BATMAN! It was the good bread. Not the store brand-dyed brown-to look like wheat bread type bread. This is definitely where I will be purchasing by bread and bagels from now on. I paid $5 for 3 loaves of bread and 2 packages of bagels.

It got better. Spending Spree was offering a deal that you could purchase a $10 voucher for only $5!  SCORE! You better believe I bought the max number of vouchers. From reading the website and looking at past deals, it looks like this is a frequent deal offered. Keep your eye out for it!

With doublers at Albertsons this week I was able to rack up enough points to earn the rest of my $5 off rewards coupon. With the help of coupons I was able to pickup 6 ears of corn, a head of lettuce, 6 bagels and a pint of blueberries for only $0.54, a 98% savings!
